Default tt39 engine help

I am having trouble getting my tt39 tuned right. At about half stick it starts to vibrate so i checked blade tracking and balance , all ok I can use throttle hold to hold the engine just below half stick and it flys fine.
can anyone tell me whats wrong and how to fix it.
im running 30% fuel

what kind of head speed do you have ? , are you running to rich that there is not enough head speed, this would cause the head to wobble.

Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to be "harsh" here, but the FIRST thing you need to do before you worry about tuning the engine is getting that thing set up right... When throttle hold is on, the engine should drop to a point where the clutch is disengaged and should NEVER be able to throttle up beyond that point... you should never even be able to get the blades to spin when the throttle hold is on, let alone get it to hover... If that isn't set up right, then it's hard to tell how many other things are incorrect.. Surely there is someone experienced around that could help you out? Even if it means taking a day trip somewhere? You need to make sure your pitch curves are set up right, make sure your throttle curves are set up right, make sure your head speed is right, and get that radio set up right...

Yeah I know throttle hold is for. I was just using it to see if it was the engine or something else. the pich and everything else is right.I changed from 15 to 30% fuel not long ago and thats when it started.

then the tuning could be off here as the throttle hold will hold up to 50% .

With higher nitro content fuels you ALWAYS have to run much richer... If you haven't adjusted the needle valves on your engine, there's no way it's running correctly on 30% with the same settings that were used for 15%...

TT engines are notorious for being a pain to tune.

Get you an OS

I've used tons of TT engines... Every one has been fantastic... They aren't a pain to tune, but you DO have to know HOW to tune... The OS engines are great too, and rarely need any tuning of the low-end, usually just a tad on the high end... If you don't know how to tune an engine, and don't want to learn, then definately toss the TT cause you'll never be happy with it...

If you don't know how to tune an engine, and don't want to learn, then definately toss the TT

More like if you don't want to learn, find another way to spend your money. It takes a lot less effort to ask someone for help if you don't know how to tune it than it does to do it wrong and burn up an engine running way too lean. There has to be someone around that can help you tune it right so you don't ruin the engine. Makes a big difference
