I was browsing the crash videos on

and downloaded the video of the raptor 60 folding blades crash

now i am not a 3D flyer but i was wondering what would possiably cause this kind of failure ?

Wasn't a failure, that was a botched autorotation, he simply lost all head speed and the blades folded up.

What would cause the rotor head to stall....i fly a fixed pitch heli but it's my understanding during autorotation you're supposed to drop the collective to keep the rotor speed up....i also noticed it looked like when he started auto rotation he did not have any/enough forward speed....

It looked to me like he rolled inverted which caused the blades to fold.
