Default 12% oil

Friends of mine are running 12% with some fancy new oil. Not necessarily recommending it. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about it?
Seems to be working very well and very clean.
I run 20 %. (Don't shoot me 3% castor, got to get rid of it somehow)

i doubt there engine is going to work for long yousing only 12% oil and it being caster oil only makes it bader..i would not try it. stay within 18 to 20% synthetic oil and your engine will runn forever

There is nothing wrong with castor oil, it is a better lubricant than synthetic in some ways. It provides more protection from engine damage if the engine is run too lean. I run omega fuel because of the castor content.
