O.S.46FX in a new Raptor V2 30
I got this new kit Raptor V2 30. I want to know if the O.S. 46 FX-H ringed
will fit into the raptor 30? If it will will i need different motor mounts & what
will i need for a muffler? Also what do you think about this radio set up
Futaba 6EXH 6-channel Helicopter Radio with the R127DF Receiver and four S3151 Servos.
With a 401 gyro combo.
Right now i am learning on a nexus 30. This will be a all new build. Any help will be great.
THANKS

For a 46, you will need the 46-50 TT engine mount and muffler, change gearing to 8.5 to 1 (10 tooth pinion and 85 main). if the transmitter has 5 point pitch curves and is computer radio, should be good there. not familiar with the servos. get the best you can afford with around 90-100ounces optimal and about .15-17 for speed. those are just suggestions, others may say different.
the 46 on even 15% nitro with 550 carbon blades is avery nice machine. i flew my V1 for about 2 years that way. loved it.

without the gearing change you'll find it near imposable to get an acceptable mid range out of your engine and you'll constantly have that old 2 stroke dirt bike 'yaa yaa yaa' out of the engine and the tail will be jerking in the same patter that the engine is running. even with the gear change you'll have problems without the longer boom and blades (600mm blades). the 50 is a much better engine for the upgrade all around. it'll work with just the gear ratio change running 550mm mains but you'll over speed the head unless your careful with the pitch/throttle curves.
