Default Raptor 30 On Floats

I have recently learned to fly on a Raptor 30. I would still consider myself a begginer as a heli pilot. This sumer I would like to put my Raptor 30 on Floats. I would love to hear any advice on even if this is a good idea. [8D]

Just as long as you realize that you are a beginner, and that if you fall into the water, it is likely to ruin all your electronics. Otherwise, put a little toy boat out there and play rescue chopper!

Water is less forgiving than grass is... It would be a wise idea to get a little more experience before flying on water. If your on a lake, the waves can make it difficult, ponds aren't as big a problem though.
If you do fly off water, be prepared to deal with submerged gear. Hopefully you won't have to worry about that, but it will help keep your loses to a minimum.

That shake you get on the ground while spooling up will cause it to do the jitter bug on the water, so be ready to power through it. Thats the biggest difference.

Here's my Sceadu on the same floats. i would never have the nerve to put it on the water, but floats makes the best training gear.

I also took the stock legs and replaced them with aluminum bars from home depot for a wider base..
