Is it my clutch?
Now, I know changing to a blue anodized boom, new tail grips and boom supports won't cause my clutch to go out on the very next flight.....but....all the flights before this change were fine.
Here's the deal, I get it off the ground, into I1 and the gov over revs like there is absolutely zero load. I mean it's bad, like NEH NEH NEH NEH NEH!!!! bad. I cringe when I hear it.
I land it and reset the gov, check head speed settings and try again, same thing, but now it does it in N and I1.
At first I thought it was the gov, but now I am not so sure. When it revs, I can hear the head speed drop as if it is in hold, after about 1-2 seconds of super revs, the clutch kicks in and the tail does a quick blip.
If I am not mistaken, the clutch is slipping when it comes off a load and then reengages suddenly once head speed drops?
I tried to explain this the best I can, I am thinking new clutch and bell.
Any advice guys? Fan is tight, didn't change any electronics....this just seems weird to me so the obvious is not really jumping out at me right now. Maybe I glazed the liner?
BTW, last time I checked it the liner and clutch looked good. Although, I don't remember what it looked like new.
I am going to pull it right now.

RE: Is it my clutch?
The lines formed between the body of the clutch, and the shoe, should be parallel. When they are out like that one, it means the clutch is sprung. If the clutch is sprung then the liner is usually too thin.
Clean out the old liner. Put two layers of electrical tape on the clutch, even with the top and butted end to end so there's no bump from an over lap. Then epoxy or jbweld in a new liner and insert the taped up clutch while it dries, when you're done, remove the tap (and any adhesive) and you should have a perfect clutch gap.

The blue booms are hard on the clutch, next time get the red ones. LOL!
The liner looks pretty good for how bad the clutch looks, did you put a liner in recently? Either way, replace both and you will be good to go.

RE: Is it my clutch?
Ok, so I changed the clutch and clutch bell. Both are new and I saved the old to put a new liner in as a spare.
I come out of full neg pitch and snap in some pos to stop the heli and the clutch slips AGAIN!
Now I am really confused since it's new! I never had any problems until I installed the Kasama fan, the motor seems like it has doubled it's power output, never bogs and runs great. The other thing is I only increased the needles setting by 3 clicks lean from the factory setting.
Is the stock Titan clutch too weak? Is there a HD clutch and bell I can get?
It just seems to over power the clutch. Other than that it flew great and the governor ran fine except after the slipping. It spazzed out after that.
I dunno guys, now I'm frustrated.[&o]

sounds like maybe your one way bearing is letting go, they do wear. If the ramps wear to the point that they are too wide, the bearing will slip under high loads. that clutch was DEFINETLY shot.

congrats on the MP5, let us know what caused the slipping once you find it.
Good Luck bud
