Default Non heli engine

Hi dears,
I need to ask you can I put a non Heli engine on my helicopter?????

I own a Raptor 30V2, can I place a 46FX osmax airplane engine on it?? cause I through the TT39 engine that came with the plane in the garbage, I couldn't have a single decent flight with it and I'm still training.

Im not sure if the motor will work but I think you will need the raptor 50 conversion kit.Get a OS.37,I got mine off ebay cheap and love it (ton's of power) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=150259735375 .

The OS.32 has plenty of power for the raptor 30 but its not good for 3d/sport flying.

OS .46 will work, but you need to get a heli carb. my friend runs one and it has almost as much power as a hyper.

The crankshaft is longer than the heli version, it wont fit into the clutch bell.

Ya beat me to the shaft length issue Cuda. On the other hand I ran an OS 32 Heli engine in mine for almost two years while I learned and it was an excellent engine. (Very fuel efficient compared to my Hyper) It sport fly's very nice but doesn't have enough power for hard 3D stuff. It'll do rolls and loops though, just don't get real agressive on the pitch setup. I have a friend that runs an OS 37 in his and it has great power. I now run a Hyper which has it's share of issues (like eating bearings) but it has tons of power.

I'll try the TT39 engine one more time, I took of the plane and cleaned it well, I also replaced all the fuel lines to the engine and will give it a try with a rich idle mixture.
