hey guys im not a heli guy at all but somehow i can fly one so im interested, I was flying mine today and it just freakin quit i mean like waaaaahhhhhhh tooo nothing... i tried to auto it in well i autoed it alright like a football. LOL anyhow i got on here looking at a kit to repair and then i saw a 30 to 50 kit ohhh baby i want to do it but dont know where to .start and what to go with where to get the kit and what kind of engine to get, I told the wife it was gonna cost about 300 anyhow so why not just use it. how bout some tips pointers and some good advice..

Good luck with this Ihave been wanting to do this to mine as well but I'm still learning so figured not worth it till after i can fly it without the training gear on.

who has done this swap and can give me some pointers im not even sure what blades to go with is there anything special you have to do to mount the engine?

You will need 600mm-620mm main blades and my brother-in-law did a conversion to his heli and it sounded like there was nothing special just use the parts that come with the kit because the frames are the same size from the 30 and 50 just use the new engine mount that comeswith the kit it should work with an os engine.

600 mm blades, the conversion kit, O.S. 50 hyper engine and your in biz for all kind of really enjoyable fun. The differnces from 30 to 50 power is like a hi wing trainer forty to a low wing 46 ariplane. E-Z to do, you will like the change up
TT's are like VW's: everybody has lotsa parts and a nice story to tell about'em.

I just bought a Raptor 30, and really know notihg about them, except I paid $175 for it, and it was complete, less transmitter,( which I have. XP9303). One thing is, there is a crack in the left main frame where the tail boom mounts, I want to know if the frames for the V1, and V2 are the same? I don't know which I have, can I use the replacement frame sides, or should I just get the wole frame?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The frames are different, take a look at http://www.raptortechnique.com he's got an article on how to identify each but the V1 has a real "cheeky" looking canopy.
