Default Are they vinyl or water based decals???

I have some decals I want to remove from a monokoted wing. How can I determine if they are water-based or vinyl?

If the decals are thin, and have a clear carrier around them, they are water slide.

If you can feel a raised edge, being thicker, they are vinyl.
