Mark point for drilling holes in CF reinforced plate for motor.
I have to drill new holes for mounting a motor to a CF reinforced motor mount plate because the predrilled motor mount holes are 25mm apart whereas the target motor needs holes which are 19mm apart . This is a small .10 equiv motor.
a) Is it safe to fill the predrilled hoes with epoxy mixed with milled fibreglass then drill adjacent holes?
b) How do I mark a starting point for the drill as the CF plate is so hard and slippery.
The motor box is already mounted and glued to the firewall . I should have drilled new mounting holes prior to gluing the motor box to the fuselage because it would be so much easier with just the motor box and a drill press. Unfortunately I did not notice the difference in mounting hole spacing until after the fact
Tks

ORIGINAL: scale only 4 me
I'd probably just make a slot ?mm inward and back the nut with a washer if needed,, easy squeezy

I like your slot idea. I need to lengthen each hole by about 3.0mm inwards... Tks

Here is another option for marking a hole location. I use these for a lot of my hole marking.
Don't use them as center punches though, they aren't designed for more than just making a small indentation. Come back after you make the mark with something a little more robust.
