Default Vinyl Markings over rib stitching

Has anyone tried applying vinyl markings over rib stitching and was happy with the results? I tried a sample and was wondering if there is a method for making the vinyl sink into the stitch better? Any help is appreciated.

I had issues with vinyl in a sort of similar situation. I applied heat on the vinyl( Monokote hot air blower) & pressed onto it right away with a cloth & it satisfied my needs. l had to get the vinyl hot enough to allmost melt it though....Gene

Hi Tony. I'm looking forward to replies and pics. I am wrapping up a Balsa USA 1/6 scout and punted. I was afraid the decal would lay up on the stitching and not seal well. I decided to paint on the insignia and have mixed feelings about my results.

What cha buildin'?
