Deluxe Materials - Eze-Kote

Has anyone tried the Eze-kote from Deluxe Materials? http://www.deluxematerials.com/products_building.html

I've used the micro balloons and the lite filler. You can mix the micro balloons with epoxy or polyester resin. But both makes them hard to sand. The lite weight filler is really nice for fillets, and it sands easily. Their products are carried by both Horizon and Hobby Lobby.

Thanks, i tried microballoons from other companies. No problem. I've tried the polycrylic (minwax) but couldn't apply it in the winter due to the odor. The eze-kote is odorless. Hobby shop owner opened a bottle for me to smell. The video look good. Just want some feedback from some people who have used it.

Jim, I used it when I built a new 3-piece wing for my Ziroli Stuka.
I like the fact it doesn't have an odor and it dries quickly.
I used it and 3/4 ounce fiberglass cloth for the wing.

I have done some test pieces with it. After laying the 0.6oz cloth I added another 2 coats and can still see the weave. what is my next move?

What you want to do next is to use a filler primer; it will fill the weave that is still exposed; be careful when sanding though so you don't go thru the primer into your glass cloth.
I ended up using about 3 coats of primer to get everything leveled off and smooth before painting.

I used it on a big cowl and loved it.. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_11154542/tm.htm

I am gonna use it on a 5th scale P47 I'm doing, with 3/4oz cloth. On the cowl I used 1.5oz and had to do a few extra coats to fill the weave, not a big issue at all...

How far did a bottle go? I just picked up one bottle and it appears to be very thin......
