Anyone use the Incidence meter app for android or iphones
I downloaded the XClinometer app for my android phone. It seems pretty accurate and the angles it gives are very repeatable, meaning every time i check the same surface the reading is the same down to a 1/10th of a degree. Has anyone used this for an incidence meter. Perhaps make an adapter to used on wings. Does anyone have any idea how to do that?

I am not sure how it would work as a regular incidence meter attaches to the trailing edge and the leading edge. Let us know what you figure out. Thanks Dave

I believe it would work easily for flat surfaces like the horizontal stabilizer but some type of fixture like the robart incidence meter has would be needed for the wing. At 5 ounces i don't think it would be to heavy.

That looks like a pretty good tool. My robart gage isn't working properly anymore. I could just modify it to hold the phone.

you can also use it to set camber on a car. strap it to a straight edge that you can hold against the rim.

Fly RC had a good article about converting an old Robart Incidence meter to use a digital angle guage that can be purchased at Harbor Freight for $28.<div>
