Default TJT brotherhood

Ok
We know that this engine is in the exticion list, there are only a hand full of them left and that once in while one of us comes here looking for answers, help, parts. I'm starting this brotherhood to be able to exchange info to find solutions in a more efficient way.

Feel free to post any coments or info that may be of help.

I will start the list with myself on it as TJT brother # 1

Here some info regarding parts, some of you may know this or not.

Mamba = TJT 3000, internal parts are interchangable.

I think we still can get service from RTI. I got me a thermo couple from Carlos some time ago.

Nice initiative!
The early versions share many parts with the Artes Jg100.
I don't know for sure, but i guess that many parts also interchange from the Jet Central Super Eagle.
The compressor is the Garret T04B -22 will try to post exact part number later.
Bearings are the usual hybrid 608's.
Ngv and turbine are 66mm same as KJ66 parts.
Starter motor is a speed 400 6Volt type.
For those having Fadec from Gaspar Espiell, electronics and sensors are available from http://www.xicoy.com.
The most difficult parts for diy repair is the special bearing carriers and the shaft tunnel.

Regards

Lars

Cool! welcome.

Thank you for all that useful info.

I have the AU 303 FEDEC, recently I had a problem with the engine quitting at idle and contacted Gaspar, he helped a lot, easy to work with, I changed the pump and moved the e-valves next to the FEDEC to eliminate any extension errors.

Hello guys,
I have also a TJT 3000, just changed bearings (new - 2 years ago), fuel pump (used a pump from JETCAT P80), and changed ecu, a new version of FADEC XICOY ELECTRONIC, with new display (3 wires and a plug like a JR servo plug) and all went GOOD !!!. (both changed 6 months ago)
It fly on a Boomerang XL with good response to trottle. (SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH).
Roberto "happy owner of TJT 3000" - Ciao to all.

Mine still flying my Boomerang XL, had it flying two weeks ago, still running strong, I believe it is a 27 lbs one pushing a 42 lbs Boomerang on TO, these jets are big gliders so, no stress there.

Hi,

My company has just purchased a used TJT 3000 from Australia and I am given the responsibility to make it operational. The engine we received comes with starter motor but rest is missing. I am looking for help:

1. Things I will require to make it run
2. Steps to follow to run the engine.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
