Hi,
I have built a K&A MIG 15. C o G according to the plans. Everything else as described in the manual. Wemotech mini fan, Typhoon 2W 20 motor. 4SLiPo. It weighs in at appr. 1300 grams.
Started it from a ramp and fed in motor when the the model pitched up. Result:Model went up  vertical ending on its back.
Next attempt we just launched the model without feeding in any power.... and it just flew in perfect harmony! The third attempt  ended exactly as the the first one, up vertical and on its back!
Anyone out there who have experienced anything like this? Anyone who can explain what happens...and most important, what can you do to avoid it?

/Pete

Checking the CoG carefully, I discovered that mine was 0,79 inches or 20mm further back than the one shown on the plan! How does things like this happen? Better measure twice than repair twice!
I´m almost sure that this is the direct cause to the nose-up take-off behaviour....?? After some minor repairs I´ll make  another start attempt, and see if the problem is solved!

/Pete

Third attempt with C&G 2,5cm further forward, showed  no bad tendencies. It flew extremely well, however it´s a floater, so it needs a   l - o -  n - g finsl!
