Hi all, I was wondering if any one has any photos of their linkage set up on a wild hare 28% extra with an inverted G62,
also I would like to get an ignition conversion and wonder if there is an e mail address to contact a suplier of a kit that I can install or is it a send your engine away type job, being in New Zealand makes shipping a bit on the expensive side.
Thanks for any help here.

YOu can contact C&H ignition here in the USA, they sell a conversion kit that's easy to install.

Here's a photo from the manual. You may need to get the fiber block that rotates the carb for this laoyout to work.

Hi, I see you are using a metal pushrod on your throttle linkage I have read this is a no no due to radio interference?
Cheers

Take a second look. You'l note that there is no metal to metal connection at either end. Without metal to metal contact there is no means to conduct or create RF energy.

So the servo arm acts as an insulator as well? I am new to gas power and have used a flexi cable, nylon outer and braided wire inner with plastic clevis at both ends, plastic arm on the carb and nylon servo arm do you think this will be ok? the whole set up works really smooth and well also wondering if the standard red rubber type spark plug cap on a G62 is a resistor type, if not what is the common practice here? or is the standard stock one fine.
Thanks for your help

Do a good range check with the engine running before your first flight, if there is no metal to metal contact it will probably be okay.
I have two G-62's one with a red cap and the other black. From what I can tell both caps are the same exept for color, neither is a resitor type. I've had no RFI problems with the stock setup.

Hi thanks for that, I have just this morning ordered a full ignition kit from CH there set up instructions state not to use anything metal in the throtle linkage not even with plastic or non metal conections at each end surely there must be something very wrong for both plactic or nylon clevises and horns to conduct any form of current, you would be more likley to get static current fron all that nylon to plastic contact????
I will be using a shelded type plug cap and a R type plug as well, I can get about 14 inches of seperation betwwen all ignition setup and my RX and it's swithc, battery etc, I really want to set this up properly so as not to have to change too much and being it my first gas set up I am a bit on the cautious side.
Thanks again.

As Long as you perform a range check as stated above it will let you know if there is any interferance with you pushrods, antenna, ignition, etc... Alot of people that have problems is because they did not perform the proper preflight (i.e. checking hinges, pushrods, range check, battery check, etc..)

Cheers for the good advise, I do have a good habbit of running all my planes up at home and doing through range checks, much to my neighbours dimay I'm sure.
A qucck questionabout the length of the anti slip prop pins on the drive hub, with the spinner bacl plate I am using the pins only come through about 1.5mm; should I drill and place pins in the back plate at 90* to the existing ones that will go into the prop about 7 to 8mm or can you buy longer pins that will go through the back plate and into the prop a good ammount?
Thanks

Question It looks like in the picture that the throttle and choke linkages are on opposite sides? the standard carb with the zenoah is on the same side is this reversable?

Look at the pic again.

Thats a B&B cup mount on the engine. B&B also sells a bellcrank throttle and choke linkage that bolts right on the cup mount.

It eliminates the need for the carb rotator block.

Either way works just as well.

I prefer the B&B bellcrank method. I have had problems with the pulses when using the carb rotator block in the past.

The bellcrank from B&B is reasonably priced, and it allows me to put my throttle and choke servos together and back inside the fuse. Well away from the ignition unit. You'll never have a problem with RF when your servos are 12" or more away from the C&H unit.
