Well as most of you know they are here so lets start hearin those setups and get some pics up when the arrive. I will have pics up tonight of mine.

I plan on using:
Motor DA 100 on stock mufflers.
Servo's 5945's all around except one 5955 on the rudder.
Reciever 1 955 JR
All stock hardware except for gear and tubes which will be carbon
And either fromecos or Ni-MH batteries.

Here we go. DA100, stock muffs. Redundant TBM 2400 Li-ons through Maxx Miracle switches. 2100 5 cell Nimh on ign through JR h-duty switch. 1-5955 on rudder. 5945s on elev. 5625s on ail. 5475 on throttle. Hitec Supreme 8 chan. FM rx to start, then Futaba PCM after flight testing. Stock everything else. Really a beautiful ARF in the (large) boxes. The guys at Aero-Works say their 35% pilot is a little small, but they are working on it. Any comments on the above setup? Tom

Gee Wizz Bodyworks ! How much do YOU weigh?! Should be just outstanding. What? 23.5 LBs? Are Aero-Works ' weights kinda close? I'm hoping for 26-27 LBs

I am only putting this thing on a diet for P2W due to my altitude (our field is at 6800 feet). Of course the lower wingloading will be a bonus. If I were 3,000 feet lower or more, the DA would have been a no-brainer for me. But I know for a fact that a 25.5 pound plane with a 100cc engine pulling it has limited vertical at my field. I can't justify spending this much on a plane and only have enough power to maybe hover...
23.5 is what I am expecting. I will accept 24, and I will be extatic with 23 pounds. Rocco told me the prototype was a hair over 26 pounds with the DA and in-cowls and slightly heavy nimh's. I don't see any reason for him to lie about it, for one, and I saw it fly at about a 5000 foot flying field, and P2W seemed to coincide with the weight.
I guess mark could assemble the production plane and report the weight. It should be around 14.5 pounds with all the hardware, maybe 15. If so, their claimed weight is doable.

One other thing to be aware of, though. In reading the thread on the Lanier Yak, Maudib weighed his plane right when he got it. A few days later, he reweighed some parts and found that he had lost weight, something in the area of 7 ounces, if memory serves. It could be scale errors, but my guess is these planes dry out and lose some of that fresh balsa/chinese humidity/ocean air water weight once you open them up and let them "air out"...

Randy, can you post the link for that pilot bust? I believe you posted in at the FG's, but I can't find it. If my plane comes out light enough and has good P2W, I will be outfitting it with that sweet looking pilot!

I'm Baaaack! Went to Aeroworks and picked up my 260, and hung out and talked with Rocco and Kim a bit. They are really excited about this new line of QB planes, and should be! On a side note, I saw the 75cc Yak there and it is quite huge...I have my eye on it !
Anyway, we all know the jest of what you get in the Kit, but this is what it looks like in the back of an SUV!...
Oh, and my birthday is tomorrow and my wife suprised me with one of their Edge 540T's...So I went to pic up one plane and came back with two! For a wife that says she feels like I am cheating on her with my airplanes, she sure ain't helping me to stop!

Yep, it comes in three boxes - one for the fuse, and major hardware components, one for the wings, stabs, and rudder, and one for the HUGE cowling; that's a BME 110 in front of it!

Here are a couple more.
One is of the structure aft of the canopy area, that I don't ever remember seeing taken. It is a basic truss style structure, similar to Cardens, but the fuse sides are 2-2.5mm lite ply - very sound setup!
The other is an idea of the lengths they went to make this thing as A-R-F as possible. Not only does it come with the tank and USA-made tygon tubing, but that is how I pulled it out of the package...pick-up line was pre-cut and preinstalled on the clunk!!

I am not about to weigh it yet - you can literally smell the wetness of the wood. With our extremely dry climate here, my bet is that there is at least 1/4 pound in water weight to be lost from this plane. I can also tell you that Rocco said he weighed the first 4 kits that people came to pick up and said they were all within a quarter pound of each other - that's pretty consistant for this size of a plane...sorry, I forgot to ask him the total weights

Well, guys, I have to return mine for personal reasons I hope you all enjoy yours. I have some custom graphics from Aerographics specifically for this plane. They are the "Extra 260-Aeroworks" logo on the wing and the "Aeroworks-world class models" logo on the fuse. I got some other small stuff with this order that I can use on a different plane, but I spent $200 on graphics for this thing. These are blinged out in crownroyal chrome and yellow chrome with blue chrome trim. I will get pics posted later.

There is wood left in the fuse so that you can install all of your switches anf fuel dot forward of the wing. Here is a pic to help explain what I'm talking about.
