According to info in another thread:

-"in the new year"
-Price is yet to be determined.
-60" span, flown with an MW44 and P-60 on 50oz Dubro, dr wt = 10.1 to 11.5 pounds depending on engine.
-Pics shown above were referred to as "the sport scheme", so I'm inferring that there may be a "mil" scheme as well

A question for Alan,

Is the fuselage and center section a balsa and plywood structure like the Intro Boomer and the Sprint?..... Or, is it a fiberglass structure like the Elan?......

Richard

Just trying to keep this thread current and give it some traction in the hopes that it will (because it's title is easier to remember and more accurate) eventually become the "go-to" thread for the type...

Alan:
quote:

Currently on my Nano prototypes I'm using stock Springair 101HD rail mounted retracts all round using wire legs with pull pull steering and Robart wheels. Keeping it light. No doubt when the kit is available there will be suitable retracts from other sources, as with all the other Boomers.
The rail mountings, mains and nose, will take any make of 12 lb. retracts.

Alan, when asked about availability of Mil schemes:
quote:

Yes! Similar to the previous military schemes I've used.

I'm sorry to say that after a promised January production date and thus February date of delivery to us (a month shipping transit), I've just been informed by the factory in China that it will be February production date and thus mid March or even April before we get them.

Disappointed as I am about it, there's nothing I can do.

The annual Chinese New Year factory shut down in January takes up a whole month, so the delay is extended from a couple of weeks normally to this six week hold up.

The minute they're on the way, you'll know!

Alan.

Will a Wren Supersport fit the Nano, or is it just aimed at the Wrenn 44 size?

Thanks

I am sure Alan will tell you that the SS is far too much power. I intend to put my 7.5lb thrust 44 in mine (When they get here!!!) No doubt our power crazed American cousins will want to try a P120 in it.

I understand a prototype has been flown with a P60 so the T500 should be ok. Remember that the design philosophy behind the Boomerang series is lighter is better! All my Boomerangs have had the lightest possible turbine / fuel load and I have never felt any of them to be underpowered. My Nano will have a Wren 44,1 litre of fuel, Spring airs with wire legs and lightweight wheels and non-digital servos apart from the elevator and two x 1500 lipos. I know it will fly well on that combo and also be cheap to put together.

John
