Default New Bright FJ40 new owner

Target has the NB FJ40 crawler on sale for $41.98 so I picked up 2 for my older boys, ages 10 and 7. I haven't received them yet, but I wanted to pick up some more batteries so they can switch them out when they die instead of waiting 4 hours for a re-charge. Anybody know what the best place is for this? Also, is it possible to use a quick charger to charge the batteries?

When I was a kid I had a Tamiya Hornet and the charger I had was 15 minutes, it was great! I miss the old Hornet, but I see RC cars and trucks have come a long way since the mid 80's!

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Thanks Texx. Do you know how long the stock battery lasts? I'm assuming this double battery would last twice as long.

Approximately 15-20 minutes for 1 stock NB battery 600 mah (this is not the best battery) []

Then ... the execution time would be about 40/45 minutes with two 600 mah.

Best batterie ..3000 mah +..

Update - I received the 2 New Bright FJ40's and one of them has a bad battery, charged overnight and it doesn't move the truck more than a few inches. The other battery seems fine though. I thought the truck would be more capable, but I guess it needs some mods to be a better crawler.

On another note, I am going to return the one that has a bad battery, and when I checked out the Target web site, they are now reduced to $29.99. So I called and got a refund of around $11. Makes it a little better at that price.

Thanks.

HELLO .. 69tr6r ..

If the charger is good, it is possible that a battery is in trouble ..

The rc are just toys, we need their make some mods to make them perform.

Check mods YELLOW-CRAWLER, and also other members who were present rc / 10 newbright on the forum.

You can make a good climber, adding a 4th gear in the differential, or make it better, with some very simple mods .

.MOTOR / BETTER BATTERY / OIL-SHOCK / BEST TIRE / LOWER BODY / install an ESC system / ETC .. ETC
