Default Another New Bright Conversion

I completely disassembled the Hummer and after additional measurements and checking, I thought the Summit donar would be a tad short on wheelbase to give me that "scale" look I was after so it was off to the Hobby shop and after some additional dimension checking, I purchased a Traxxas Stampede which has a very small channel type frame which will be easy to modify for different wheelbases. I cut the new Stampede in half and started working on the frame stiffeners and supports for the large Hummer body. By the way the Stampede is very close the the side to side wheelbase of the Hummer.

I stiffened the 6" stretched frame and made the required measurements for the wheelbase with the loaded suspension of the Hummer body. I am working on the body sukpports and should have a test run tomorrow. Attatched are som pics of my progress...

Comploeted the transformation of the body to the frame. I even managed to keep all the inside details. Put it through some easy paces in the yard this evening and all went well. Total run time was about 15 minutes...

Now to finish the lights and install the Vtx and Camera.

jstfsh look in to custom springs (you know make your own) or start adding preload or longer springs with preload
