Default 3.3 dies when I pull throttle, But idles good

T-maxx 3.3 was running good. Broke a fuel tank, Replaced it, now it starts up fine and will idle good. When i gently pull throttle it will start to move, but once I open it up it just dies. I replaced fuel Lines, Swapped out another tank just incase and I also reset needles to factory. Started thinking it may be building up on bottom end, but i have tried leaning and richening both top and bottom with no results. Any other ideas?

My 3.3 does the same thing until it warms up i have to let it idle, then very, very gently hit the throttle, for like 15 seconds, so yeah-you could try a different plug, what plug/fuel are you using?

like the guy above said try to let it warm up a little bit .mayb keep the glow plug lighter on it while u rev it that helps me sometimes. if u have been screwing with all the idles and such return them back to factory also... good luck.

I had the same problem. Ended up being my glo plug. I would check your glo plug, make sure its working and screwed in enough.

swapped the carbs out. Factory settings, It starts fine, Idles pretty good but I cant hit the throttle much. I can eas into the throttle and get it to full throttle but If I hit it from a go, it will bog and die. You would think low end, but cant seem to get it to work out.

here is a good question. how old is your engine (how much gas have you run it through?)  i had a 3.3 and it did the same thing. i tried to figure out the problem but i couldnt.  so i bought another 3.3  and it ran like new (cuz it was new duh)  i opened up the old one with my grandfather (he was an engine mechanic on a destroyer) and we figured it out that the engine had low compression.  we are going to buy a new piston and sleeve for it as well as a new con rod.  that will increase compression and you should not have any more problems.  but dont forget to break it in after you install the piston/sleeve.

Yeah we ended up dropping a new 3.3 in her. I think it may be a little of a few things. One being the front bearing. I noticed some fuel at the front behind the flywheel so i think that may be part of it too. Shes going to a better place now. Power up! Thanks for all the help everyone! The new engine runs great!
