revo 2.5 question

Default revo 2.5 question

i just got a revo 2.5 roller it does not have a engine and it needs an engine mount do any know if my traxxas pro .15 engine will fit the revo 2.5 engine mount , this my frist revo , i own a mgt 3.0 that i have a .21 , i have a sport maxx 2.5 , nitro buggy and a few more i always wanted a revo 3.3 butcost to much so i luck up on this revo 2.5 roller for 85.00 bucks i just ordr the parts i need for it and they only cost me 50.00

Yes the pro.15 engine will fit the revo mount, all traxxas engines use the same engine mount bolt pattern.But,the .15 carb is a rotary carb and you would have to modify the throttle linkage + the revo would be underpowerd with the .15. Not worth the trouble IMO.
Not to mention the .15 is side exhaust...

am not new to this hobby i been it for a few years and i have done a lot of mods i was just making sure i did not have t drill new mount holes because thoses are a pain to do , am using .15 because it brand new and not getting used , am not looking for power in my revo , i have a mgt 3.0 that i put a .21 in it i drive it when i want power, the truck does not have any kinda of exhaust on it and i have a few manifold and pipes am sure make sum thing work

beacuse it cost money to trade a engine in i dnt want to trade my .15 its brand new ,am not looking for speed with this truck , i dnt really drive mines much any way .

i have amgt 3.0 with a .21 engine in it , a sport maxx with a 2.5 , a buggy with a .18 and an elec rustler , had more but i sold them , andnow i have the revo 2.5

Ok so put the 15 on ebay and get a 2.5 or 3.3. Side exhaust is terrible, you'd hate tobuy one just so you can use that wimpy engine. It's also going to be tricky making a side exhaust work on a revo.

Is it something about the way it looks? Cuz the 2.5 is ten times nicer than the "pro" 15.

i just like the .15 better then the 2.5 i even took it out my s maxx and put a .15 in it to
