The middle gear on the primary shaft is the primary 2nd gear. It should spin freely on the shaft unless the tranny has switched into 2nd gear. Unless that gear is stripped you need to look somewhere else for the problem. If no gears are stripped, look for broken pins that hold the gear(s) to the shafts.

Are you asking for a parts list of the all the gears in the set?? I said in an earlier post the part I needed to buy, it was traxxas part # 5369
I haven't had much time to mess with it lately. I do know that the gears shift perfectly fine...before when I had the plastic gears it would not shift for some reason. Possibly it was because I was still breaking the engine in and I was not getting enough speed for it to kick in. I recently ran it down at the park and the only problem I was having was it was flipping on its lid from the power...a wheelie bar is for sure next on the list. I want to take it over to the track on a quiet day to see what it can do.

I like to align them with the notch in the pin with my hands, then use some needle nose pliers to snap them on...sometimes they don't fully seat right in the notch so take your finger nails, or a small flathead and make sure its in all the way around, I like to rotate the clips 360 degrees to be sure they are in correctly, if the clips rotate smoothly its in correctly.

alright been a little bit, any way the extreme rc mods pipe it brings the picco to life!!!!!! WOW!! anyway with the new rpm arms, lundsford pins combo im just working on an oil/spring set up that works. traxxas aluminum shocks with the supplied springs and oil dont work! also looking for an aftermarket header that will bolt to the picco jl red dot 26.

RE: SLEEPER MAXX (4907)
alright well got the tmaxx out there with another header/pipe combo. this past weekend it was 91 deg. with the body off all i could get was 182 degs. body on i got to 219deg and the 26 red dot ran like a champ! with no issues at all., so i am wondering does it really matter what temp your reaching as long as your listening to your engine? also i am looking to sell the extreme pipe set up for a small block tmaxx! the sweet spot for the picco 26 is at the very end of the pipe. so there is not a lot of pipe left for the coupler and zip strip to hold it securly with out blowing off. I did set it up on my classic with 18cvrx and it screamed. i will post pics of the ths pipe and header set up tommorow!
