I have both and I can tell you that in my opinion the Revo is the way to go. I like the Revos set up and it's versatility when it comes to it's low center of gravity when you drop the stock setup to it's lowest setting.

I have never ownedthe Kyosho or the Tamiya but I have owned the rest of them in some form or another. out of what is listed the Losi's are my favorite. they are extremely well built and handle better than the rest. the revo handles well when it running at all! I had nothing but trouble with mine it was probably the worst quality RC I have ever owned or close to it. But it was one of the earlier Revo models (I think it was the first to have 3.3) Maybe they are better now?

you left out the AE MGT line of trucks. I had an 8.0 and it was the most fun MT I ever had! but it was a gas pig!

I wouldn't say that Nitro sucks... I'm just not into them. I'm a newbe to the hobby so I went with an E-maxx to learn with.

I see the Aftershock and LST XXL are listed, but the LST2 should be stuck in there also. I have 1 original LST2 #449, and an LST2 I built from scratch all with spare parts I got with the other LST2. I love my LST2's, though I had an Aftershock that I converted to LST2 spec suspension and transmission (FOC/gear flip). I later converted the first Aftershock/LST2 conversion truck to a Muggified LST2 which handles a lot better than the LST2 did. Any of these trucks are a blast to drive, handle superb, and are tough as nails.

LST2 converted Aftershock:

Muggified LST2 conversion truck (stolen in '08)

SH .28p6 LST2 air time:

Both LST2's side-by-side. The Mach 427 truck is #449.

I vote LST2/XXL platform. They are "Stupidly Overbuilt".

Yes. My hopped up Nitro Rustler 3.3, My Muggified LST2, ALL of my tools, spare parts, tires, wheels, fuel, etc. were all stolen from my garage. I was helping my father roof his house and when I came home, the small service door to the garage was wide open and so was the window out back. My neighbor watched 2 guys carrying my stuff to their car and never got the plate OR called the cops. I figure I had $2500-$3000 invested over 13 years into the 2 trucks. The LST2/AFT truck I had only had for a year. The Teal 427 engine hadnt even seen 10 tanks of fuel. The thieves ended up with 3 good running engines too. I almost cried. Took me 8 months to gather enough funds to buy the LST2 and parts I have now. I now keep ALL of my RC stuff in the house now. My wife has no say in the matter.

edit: This isnt a monster truck, but this is the stolen Rusty 3.3 setup for snow. An absolute blast in the winter. Traction was beyond awesome.

I put warning ads on craiglist, and had the cops come out. The cops in my town are not that motivated when it comes to theft. Drive 35 in a 30 and they'll be on you like flies on crap. I found fingerprints, but they came back "inconclusive". <sigh> It wasnt worth claiming on my homeowners insurance because of the deductible and my rates would have gone up $70 a month for 7 years. It just wasnt worth it. oh well.

My collection is bigger and I have 2 monster trucks instead of 1. Its not all bad, although its going to take me awhile to get my Rusty all beefed up like my last one was.

I'm glad you understood I was just fooling around, this is all a matter of opinion on a hobby.. So if we're not having fun then we need to find something that is...
See pyro says Nitro is a summer thing and electric is a winter thing, but I think they are both all year round things...
Nitro needs more tuning, to me that what's fun about it, others look at that is a hindrance ..
