RE: Traxxas Summit
nave88 did you move the pushrods to the inner hole on the arms? It kinda looks like you did from the pics on the other thread but it's hard to tell, if so that might be the reason the shaft is rubbing on the arm. In the video it sounds to me like it might be one of the bearings in the axle carrier.

I did have the push rods on the inner holes but I moved them back to the mid because of the rubbing. I took the hub off and could fime a way to get inside the axel it there a trick to this?

Glad you got the rubbing sorted. Take out the grub screw at the other end of the axle up near the diff and take it off, then you should be able to push the axle back through the carrier.

That place looks awesome beast
I figured out my problem with the shock not returning. When I put the a arms back together I tightened the carrier too much and it wasn't allowing the rear to return to its riding position. My buddys revo makes the crackling noise too and and he said he hasn't hurt anything yet from it.

What do you guys think of the integy piggy back shocks? yay or nay? my buddy has them on his revo and says their worth the $70 plus they look really cool. Have any of you used them before? I was going to get some for the slash but people were saying the smaller versions kept blowing seals and caps. Hes had zero issues with these ones

RE: Traxxas Summit
He said he will weigh it tomorrow but he thinks like 1/4 lb.
I asked about those not long ago and i think it was kenny that talked me out of it. He says they got the suspension right on the summit and the stock 1s are the best. They do look cool tho. Ive had no probs with the suspension so far in over a year. I can think of a better way to put $70 into my summit.

RE: Traxxas Summit
Thats kinda what I was thinking Ive heard zero complaints about the stock shocks just the springs and thats just personal preff at that point. The piggy backs might just be something to thro on there later down the road when theres not much left to do to her.
1/4 lbs isnt too bad how much would he be selling something like that for I know traxxas makes some metal roll cages for the slash revo and a couple other cars I havent seen one for the summit tho. The one for the revo is like $40
another question I have is where do I want to put lube on the truck? only at the bearings or on all the moving parts or do I want to stay away from it as some of those lubes just become a dirt catch

I spray wd in all the wheel carriers, up by the diffs, servo saver, all the blue boots, and i put 3in1 on the motor shaft ends, and the trans shifting shaft. Thats about it. I keep the wd away from everything in the middle or the guts.

+1 on the WD, I add one additional step though. After cleaning and thenlubing with the WD, I let it set for a bit. I then blow it off with compressed air(using my eye protection) to remove any excess so as to reduce dust attraction.
I'm still looking for a spray dry lube I like

Yeah I reckon the stock shocks are hard to beat, you can get 4 of them on ebay for around $10-$15 so not only are they good but they'er also cheap if you ever need to replace them. I haven't tried the Integy piggybacks but I've heard from others that they aren't much good, if you get them nave88 tell us what you think of them.
