RE: Traxxas Summit
Can anyone tell me what's going on? I am nothing but disappointed with this dewalt motor. I waited two weeks for 1-3 day shipping it wasn't wired like I had paid for and the bloody thing doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong here?

RE: Traxxas Summit
Hmmm...have u tried hooking it up to the other 2 wires or 1 then the other. Have u taken the brushes out and made sure they are in correctly? Im sure they are but where those nimhs fully charged? Make sure u pushed the connectors on both ends all the way on and in. Thats all I can think of unless its a bad motor. I didnt have any problems with mine once it got here.

RE: Traxxas Summit
Can anyone show me how to reattach the spring on the dewalt that pushes the brushes in? That is my problem to havering no power I found an loose spring in the shipping box and can't figure out how to put in on where I will press against the brush. Do I have to take the motor apart? If that's the case I'm going to send the motor back to kershaw as I didn't pay $90 for a paper weight. I'm very upset about about the service they have provided. I would not recommend kershaw to even my worst enemy unless they really want the motor mount. I would rather have bought the motor by itself from another dealer and had done the prep work myself. Since I already have everything hooked up I will see if its fixable before contacting Dan again. Fml I just got a new plane that I will maiden as soon as the weather looks up and still can only find myself anxious to drive the summit again it's been down for over a week now.... Thanks kershaw

RE: Traxxas Summit
Got my dewalt motor fixed last week and got it mounted using the kershaw gear and decided it was too much of a pain in the ass to have to pull the tranny just to replace a spur gear. IMO the stock mount not only is more aesthetically pleasing but also less to work around as well. All it takes is drilling out the holes on the aluminum mount add a washer and bam it works what you guys think?

RE: Traxxas Summit
Just ordered these shims...
Associated 21141 Diff/Differential Shims Set (4): RC18-T RC18T New
http://bit.ly/13h3Glt
I dont think the diffs like the dewalt power so much. Nave u should order some to do ure diffs also. They were only $7 and the guys in URC forums say it makes a huge difference. Ill see soon.
