They are RC4WD 40 series Mudslingers on Axial beadlock oversized 8 hole black. Fn love them, prob the best $150 Ive spent on my summit. If u can find the narrow version of the axial wheels they work better but im pretty sure the discontinued them.

I wouldn't say they are indestructible but a lot of people with brushless E-Revos use the long Summit shafts as an upgrade. MIP make a set of shafts for the Summit but I've heard mixed reviews about them.

Yeah Ive heard the MIP shafts pop out alot. Ive never has to replace a shaft on my summit in the 2 years Ive had it besides when the blue boots tear and I cant stand the look of it so I replace them.

so iv been bashing the hell out of my summit since I got her in september. seems to still run ok but I am wondering about some preventative maintenance? I havnt touched the truck with any tools except to centre the steering trim. are there problem areas that may need maintenance to prevent expensive failure in the future? or in the summits case is it a "if it aint broke dont fix it" kind of theory? also is there a way to set the drag brake to off or neutral with the lipo capable esc? any pointers would be great.

I like to keep mine really clean. I think it helps in the long run. I just hose it down really good(using light degreaser if its really nasty) then just a light spray of WD on all the metal and the wheel bearings. I take my motor off once every 4-5 runs and clean it with electra motive electric motor cleaner and put a few drops of 3in1 oil on each end of the shaft. Thats about all I do as far as maintenance on it. Other thatn that just drive the hell out of it and upgrade as stuff breaks, which isnt very often. Its finally summit season here and im taking mine out in a few hours for the first time in at least a month! Cant wait!

i installed a 2050kv 120amp hobbyking sensored combo in my summit. I LOVE IT. It really wakes it up. I may need to gear her down or change the timing to help with temps. Higest temp i got was 68.5 degrees celcius. That was on a 32 degree day here in Brisbane Australia. I am having way too much fun with this truck now. If youse wanna know more about my truck i will be happy to help with any advice from MY experiance with MY truck. Oh yeah i also had to change my servos as one of the 2075's crapped out. I now got Bluebird 660's in there. I think they are metal gear 14.2kg at .17sec at 6v. Not faster but a little stronger. Merry xmas and happy new year to all summit drivers (or any rc ers for that matter). thanks for reading.
