Here is the link to the motor combo I decided to go with. I never tried to post a link before so I hope it works and helps you guys.
I found some answers to my questions in the discussions area for this combo. This combo works ok for me but if you are looking for standing back flips or super fast speed runs you should look elsewhere. My summit now keeps up with my mates 1/8 Monster Truck Nitro Circus Basher (from hobbyking also). Lots of fun to drive now, however its not like it has MENTAL power as I stated above. I am confident my driveline will hold up with this combo. Hey Beast if you got that kind of cash maybe a Tekin combo would be better for you. They seem to be tried and true!!!

Hey man. I just ordered the 820 Kershaw motor....can you post a pic of the modification to the stock motor mount plate. I'd like to mount it up like you did!

All it takes is drilling out the holes on the aluminum mount add a washer and bam it works what you guys think? ***

Guys I am ordering this new body. Looks pretty sick. http://prolineracing.com/bodies/apocalypse-clear-body/

Got a few custom body
/wheel/tire builds going on right now for my Bl ERevo and Summit......refreshing my trucks finally! I have neglected to touch them in about a year due to my new sickness of flying Quads lol.

But the Summt is getting the Dewalt 820 w/ 18 T pinion. The Turnigy Nano Tech 2S 7600mah lipo batteries....The new Apocolypse body with custom Led lights and I...STILL need to pick new wheels and tires.....my 24mm Chayanne wheels and 40 series big joe tires got so water logged they will not dry....I have already drilled several holes in them to help with the drying, still super wobbly and heavy....pretty much a loss.

so axial oversized 8 spoke maybe black chrome with that body? Trencher X or ???? Suggestions?

I am so close to getting the Mudslingers but with the Apocolypse body
i think the Trenchers are my way to go. I had them before on a Savage Ss and they ran really well.

Do you seal your tires so no water gets inside them? My big jokes were ruined after a few runs because the water didn't get completely out. Sucks $ down the drain.

Cool, I think I will be going with the Beadlocks. This will be my first set and since it's on the Summit, I should not have any problems with them pulling form the beads. On my E-Revo that worries me so not sure which wheels to go with yet. I'm doing the Proline Rat Rod Body for the BL E-Revo.

Looks good man.

question - For your Dewalt motor, did you solder capacitors onto it? Like some 100nF Capacitors? If so where did you order them from and where exactly do I solder them onto the motor? I just got the Dewalt 820 motor in yesterday, with the plugs etc all pre done but I was worried about radio interference if they are not used?

No caps on mine. As long as u have the 2.4G ure good. No interference without caps. Yes those are the mudslingers. Gonna be cutting them in a few days

I just purchased the 2.4ghz controller and receiver, I had the old style controller and needed to upgrade anyway. I also bought the Proline F11 Beadlock 1/2" offset black wheels. I am SO close to getting those mudslingers..it;s between those and the trencher X tires. Wjat do you think would look meaner with the apocalypses body, man Its a tough choice....

I went with the Mudslingers, after seeing your pics I think they look more aggressive on the truck. I'll probably buy the 8 spoke wheels and add Trencher X tires as a back up set. I like the added clearance vs lowering the truck with the trenchers....

Yeah imo the mudslingers are the most aggresive, meanest looking tire out there. U wont be disappointed.
