Default Brushless E-Maxx Tire Options

I have a new Brushless edition of the E-Maxx that likes to blow up the tires at full power, I mean they double in diamater when I hit the gas. Can anyone recommend a good tire wheel combo that will help with this problem.

What battery size and tranny gearing are you running?

Any MT wheel/tire combo is going to balloon like crazy when you are running LiPos and are heavy on the throttle. If you're running 6s, you're going to be reaching the limits for many tire setups if you have a heavy throttle finger.

The best thing you can do is get a solid set for your main use (i.e. if you're bashing, get a good all terrain tire like the Trencher X or Badlands, if you are mostly road running and speed, Road Rages, etc.) and then tape and balance them.

Then tape and balance them.

How do you balance them?

it reduces the vibration stress on the driveline, so that will extend the life of your bearings.  Which in turn should (theoretically) extend the life of your diffs.

What are the specs of your battery? If you are running 6s LiPos, you'll want to tape your tires.

The same way the video shows. Modeling clay on the back side of the wheel.

Yes I am running 6s lipos, what a bumber that you have to put duct tape on a set of $40 tires to make them hold up. How long to the taped tires last, and btw thanks for the replies.

It is a bit of a bummer but 6S is a pretty insane amount of power.

You could always get some beadlock tires and put them on. Just an idea, but really on 6s you have gotta stay off the throttle a little if you dont want your tires to always be ballooning. Try to drive smooth with the throttle and not from almost no throttle to full throttle etc...

I got some Pro-Line Trenchers and taped them. It made all the difference in the world, thanks for all the help.
