Default My new emaxx build. Needing a 3908 chassie and trans.

Well i'm starting to upgrade my emaxx. It's an older 3906 model with all alum front and rear(everything is upgraded on those parts) and has a stock chassie/trans. Problem is i ordered a new servo and brushless system.

I'm looking for someone who has a brushless emaxx 3908 trans and chassie. The more complete the better. I know ebay has them listed but rather buy everything from one person.

Here are some pictures. I need new wheels and tires too. let me know what you guys think and if you have any parts i could use. I'm trying to get this running and all the bugs worked out by fourth of july to run with the family.

have you changed diffs
no need to limit the search for 3908. (3905,3903,3908 the same just different radio system, and motor in 3908).

Thats good to know. Yes the diffs are upgraded. Everything is good to go, i just need to change out the trans and chassie to make sure i'm not going to break anything up wih the brushless.

I have looked at those wheels...i like them alot and the X version too. If i can find a good used set, it'd be my best bet.

No its a stock plastic one. I can't afford the $100 on an flm right now. Not sure I want the alum chassis I hear the bend easy. I haven't bent an alum arm yet but im not brushless yet.

Yeah unfortunately you will probly bend those arms. if that happens switch to RPM. they flex and have a great warranty

What motor and ESC did you put in there? Pinion size? Do you like its speed? I just got an Earthquake 8e Brushless and I like to race them with my friends but the Emaxx is about 1/3 the speed of the brushless.

Do you know about how fast you get it going? And are those the stock shocks? Alluminum or 3908 chassis? Could I use:

In theory it can go 60 mph. But a truck this big becomes a handful at speed.

Do you know the KV on your motor? I was looking to get around 60 but I heard I need to upgrade other things on it. Do you know what those things are?

Any clue what would break if I could get to 60? Or should I just try trial and error

What would break.?? Well hit a curb at 60 and watch the truck explode into pieces. Hit nothing and nothing will break. Running a more powerful system will wear the driveline out faster. Less power=less wear. More power=more wear. (diffs, driveshafts, axles)
