Hi all i just joined
I'm 38 and thinking of getting back into r/c.Had a few through the yrs but it's been yrs. What's the difference between the 2010,11 and 2012 3.3 revo.I know the newest one is fancier with the electronics but are the other yrs as long as they're 2.4 about the same? Also for basic tearing my yrd up t-maxx for a lower price or pay more for a revo?I want some power.Other suggestions are welcom too.I had a jato 3.3 too but with just 2wd it got burried easy as most of you probably know.I'm going used what ever i decide.Thanks.

The diff is some minor things, The newest version features the latest transmitter which is top of the line ( sort of )
But they're is only a problem with going with used is that you never know if your getting someone else's problem or not

The one that you could do as a project is buy a roller and put the Engine, Servo, Remote that you want and it's sort of a new one

Well the T-maxx chassis is an old design that was never updated so it has some flaws, Therefore the revo will most likely break less

I did think about going electric but i never owned an electric except the hornet in 1980 something. Now they're so complicated with balance and lipo i'm truly lost with electric. If i had someone here that new all about it,i'd personally have them set me all up with explicit instructions on what to do and how to and what not to do and so on.i mean how long does it take to charge 2 lipos? How long does it run before recharging.Stuff like that. What batteries what charger. You know what i mean? With nitro they're loud messy and supposeably the fuel may cause cancer. That i believe.

Read thru my summit thread. Everything u need to know is in there. I feel the exact opposite...i think nitro is way more work and more complicated than electric. Lipos take around an hour a piece to charge...the 1s i have run for over an hour.

Nitro is like , last years news, forget about it and take the lipo leap :-) a good charger and a little bitt of common sense will keep you safe from any havoc you might fear with lipo's. Besides, we are here 24/7 to help :-)

I was apprehensive about switching to electric...I'm really glad I did. Lots of power and super long run times. I have a Slash vxl 4x4 and an EMaxx Mamba Monster edition. The Slash is one tough truck and they come with a Nimh to get you started.

Yeah,i hate the fuel all over, especially transporting in my car!!!! Need them white surgical gloves to mess with nitro, and like i also wrote they say it MAY cause cancer.I believe it.Who knows skin cancer + what ever gets on your skin absorbs into you eventually into your blood stream, which flows through some pretty needed organs
