Default Help ID this tmaxx

I bought this truck this weekend and would like to get it back going. The tranny is messed up and i have no charger for the truck or the ez start charger.

I know there are several models and that the tranny may not swap between them. The engine is the 3.3 and body says 3.3 but who knows if they are original. the tranny may not even be original. the truck has some up grades as you can tell.

any info would be helpful.

thanks

gen 3.

original had a .15 narrow suspension small drive shafts
gen 2 had a 2.5, wider suspension stronger bulheads
gen 3 had 2.5r and 3.3, new optidrive transmission, updated driveshafts, different tires and shock towers.
gen 4 3.3 has reverse removed.

yours has upgraded driveshafts from what I can see.

Your truck appears to be the 4909 model.
You can fit the 4908/7 transmission in it but the output shaft is 6mm instead of 5mm like yours.
You will have to adapt the center shafts to fit the output shaft.
Yours truck appears to have the Forward only converion, if so you can install that output shaft in the 4908/7 transmission and the center shafts will be a direct fit.

the
Back from the dead!!

i started looking into this today and want to get it back going. After looking at all the exploded tranny drawings i do think that this is the 4909 tranny. the 5395 gear is stripped. for the price of the gear and shipping i would rather buy a new 4909 tranny and have some "spare" parts. the problem is that i do not see any 4909 trannys for sale. where can i buy one?

why do you think it has a forward on conversion? i can post up some internal pics if it will help id what i have here. in teh 2nd pic you see the stripped gear.
