Check the drivetrain components. Sounds like something else further down the line from the spur gear might be jammed up or broken.

I would check the clutch on the engine output shaft as well. I went through a couple flywheels in the early days of owning my T Maxx.

start by seeing if you can turn the wheels in the air. see if you can get the drive shafts to turn. this will tell you if the transmission has a broken gear or something locking it up. if the transmission is not broken check your slipper clutch is tight enough. if your transmission is good and slipper is set right, I would then take the spur gear off make sure its not stripped and make sure your slipper clutch pegs are in the spur gear and not worn out. This is the 6 little red friction pegs they should stick out of the spur on both side a little bit. and also while your at it take the clutch bell off the engine check your clutch and the clutch bell. im sure the problem is somewhere there. good luck. let us know how you make out.
