Default Help with T Maxx. .. Please

Hello everyone, I'm kinda new to nitro but learning really quick, but that neither here nor there so my question is why can't I get my Maxx to start without the wheels of the ground. It's a brand new motor with new clutch shoes and spring (actually just installed shoes thinking that was the problem) maybe Trans? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

So are the wheel turning when you try to start it, with it off of the ground. If so, and you just changed the clutch shoes, I would say that you have a bad bearing in the clutch bell. Something would have to be engaging the the clutch bell to the spur. Your crank should spin free in the clutch bell, until you give it throttle.

Thanks muck. ... I'll change the bearing when I get home from work. Now that you mentioned that I did have some trouble with one bearing when reinstalling the bell. Absinthe Thanks for the info.

So went to change bearings and noticed the washer behind the c clip was making it bind so flattened it ever so slightly and back in business now. Thanks westoakmech for your advise.

I read that the factory shoes are cut down slightly to allow the engine to rev more before engaging.

The source also claims that replacement shoes are not cut.
