Default Traxxas Tmax help!

Bought this used Traxxas with a new motor in it. The motor is a .30 4.9 big block I believe. Anyways, I can't get it running. I've ruled out fuel because i can get fuel to the carb it has to be carb issues or glow plug? Need some input wanna get this thing running. If anybody has any stock or easy carb settings that'll make it run then I can adjust off there that would be perfect. Thanks for the help.

Well your truck looks like it has a Dynamite Big Block Chassis kit on it and a HPI Savage (big block) tuned pipe on it. I don't know what the engine is but the exhaust header looks like a stock Traxxas (small block) piece which is weird. I'm really curious to see the rear of the engine and the exhaust header to verify this. If I'm right about the Traxxas header and it actually fits the engine then Immay know what engine it is. But if you look at the sides of the engine block just above the mounts you'll see the manufacturer on one side and the size on the other. Then you can look up stock needle settings for your engine as they vary between manufacturers.

That engine is a Picco .26MAX. Try taking out the glowplug and connecting it to the glow wire. Press the button on the EZ Start. If it is red, then you're good. If not, dead glowplug or loose wire harness.

Thanks for the input man. The filament on the underside of the glow plug looks like it's stuck to the outside of the glow plug. Assuming it is screwed I'm gonna buy some anyways.
