Hey guys I really want a rock crawler but not enough $$$$ do you guys know if there a way to turn the traxxas t-maxx 2.5 into rock crawler ? Please let me know some of your guys ideas.

I've seen some Maxx trucks turned into solid axles. The easiest way is to take off the stock shock tower and make a new lower profile one out of some flat plate. Then take some short tie rods and connect the new tower to the arms where the shocks would go. Unbolt the bulkhead from the chassis and you now have a solid axle. From what I remember most would then use the bulkhead mounts for the upper link mount and attach the lower links to the skid plate. I dont remember what was done to mount the servo, but I do remember the chassis used on most was more or less a total custom job.

My my computer fried it's motherboard, once it's back up I'll look for some pics on my hard drive and post up if so find any. I know I used to have some at some point.
