Traxxas TQi looses connection to car at close range
I just got a new Traxxas Rustler VXL last week and I've been having a problem where the car stops responding to the radio. I'm assuming they are loosing connection, because if I turn the car off and back on, everything works great. It is NOT a range issue, when it is working it goes as far as I see and still be able to steer it in the right direction. It seems to loose connection when I am really getting on it, making fast turns, full acceleration, and braking. I have opened the receiver box, unplugged, inspected, wiggled, and reinserted all the plugs. Any other suggestions? I've ordered a Racers Edge 2474 Glitch Buster Power Capacitor to see if that helps. This is a stock vehicle, running on a stock 3000 mha battery.

That's kind of what I was wondering, but I am new to the hobby, and don't know how/if these things happen. Might the capacitor help to prevent the voltage drop and loss of connection?

Also which I should have asked does either your radio or receiver have a flashing light?
If yes red or green and how many flashes and or speed?
If no then look at speed controller and see if it flashing.

You have the correct led colors for your set-up.
When you "loose connection" I assume you loose the motor control. Have you tested to see if you still have steering?
Have you checked the leds on the esc and the receiver right after loosing connection?
Have you felt the motor after a cut-out ?
What kind of run times are you getting on a charged battery ?
