Default T-Maxx Engine

I was wondering what is the best aftermarket engine to put in the 2.5 T-maxx. I am really tired of the stock engine dieing out. Also what would be a good tuned pipe to go along with the engine. Thanks

other than the .21 picco smallblock(which isnt even out yet), other .21's wont fit without a good $400 hole in your pocket spent bulletproofing the drivetrain. i run a fantom FR18 coupled witha sirio big bore pipe. this is an insane combo. buying those two products from stormerhobbies.com will only set you back about $200 i think. the only problem ive had is that i stripped out the nut that secures the carb to the engine block, but thats user error, idiot me overtightened the thing[:@]

I was thinking of putting the TRX 2.5 in my NTC3. But have to get the Fantom first.

Figure if it is just sitting there, I will try to use it in something. My NTC3 needs new motor - I do not want to buy another for it. I am going to eventually sell it and get rid of my NTC3. No where close enough to race where I live. I do not want to drive all the way to halifax so I will be racing indoor electric for touring cars. Still race off road rally..
