the sirio will drop in with 0 mods. It made to be swaped out with the 2.5. It has loads more power and torque. and the pull start or ez-start will hook up. From what I've heard this is a great engine. Hope you like it

The engine is awesome. You will not be disapointed with the performance or how easily it swaps in.

There's also the Fantom, Epic, and Wasp and I'm pretty sure all of those cost less and they have the same amount of power. But if you want that Sirio, I say go for it!! Definitely an awesome engine. Never really heard anything bad about this engine.

The Sirio is excellent! Probably the best modification you can do to your truck! You will be very happy with this engine, and you'll be kicking yourself for not getting it sooner. It's alot more powerful and super reliable, but you should also get the sirio pipe and motor saver filter.

I have almost a gallon through mine now. The power is really coming on strong now and I have started to lean it out more. I have had no problems with tuning issues. I didn't have to hard of a time with my 2.5 but this engine is a dream to tune. Even with 15-20 degree temp swings (sunlight to no sunlight) a quick hour turn left on the high side and your'e set. If you have problems tuning your 2.5 this engine will be a blessing.

The Fantom is right inline with the Sirio as far as power goes. The Epic isn't far behind but the Wasp has a hard time keeping up with the 2.5. The one thing the Fantom doesn't have is the reputation Sirio has for making high quality engines. Fantom has had a sketchy past as far as thier engines are concerned. The FR-18 also runs at way to high of temps for me. The FR-18 needs 320 degrees+ to make the hp, the Sirio rocks house at 230 degrees.

It's a restrictor, it helps to regulate tuning. It's not actualy needed, and you may see a small increase in power without it.

Hey foxracing, the sirio will eat slipper clutches if you stick to stock. I have had some success using 12 slipper pegs instead of the stock 6 but the best thing is a double disk slipper clutch like the one made by robinson. It won't start until the engine has used about a gallon of gas but both of mine did it. The sirio halds a tune awesome, makes far more power at 230 degrees than the 2.5 does at 270 deg, and also doesn't seem to care at all what brand fuel you use. I would recommend this engine to anyone who likes to play, not tune. Stock diffs, driveshafts, and tranny gears have no prob so far.

Well crap I ordered the Fantom and it'll be here Friday. But your saying this thing runs EXTREMELY hot. How bad of a thing is this? Because I'm afraid that this engine will not last long now. I'm getting scared that I shouldn't have gotten it.[]

Thanks ZAD, at least now I feel better. Anyone else have any input (does it overheat all the time, power kind of sluggish at times, etc.)?

Also, does anyone know how to change your picture under your name or the quote or whatever under your name and above your picture? And the time zone, I'm in Eastern and it's like on Chinese time. Oh and my birthday, that's not right either. lol this is like the 4th time I've edited this thing.
