No it's "THE" as in "The Maxx" or "The Maximum Truck".
I'm sure it's not "Traxxas", Where did you come up with that at? "T" for Traxxas? What a stretch.

i always thought it should be N-maxx, like Nitro maxx, same as with E-maxx, electric maxx, so i don't know ask Traxxas

i dont think it stands for anything,its just a name thats souds clever the first time you here it and gets less witty every time you here it.
