Thanks, I am running 18/38 gearing with the wide ratio 2 speed so I hope to get some crazy speed out of this truck!

that is a nice set-up. looks kinda like mine.
that New ERA kit does work pretty well i think, but that's just my opinion. my truck still handles really well and i do have the pull start on it.
lots of power too. wil flip the truck right onto it's lid on command. amazing engine. i'm still playing with the gearing to get it where i want. doubt i'll go to 18/36 though. i am running 15/38 right now

lax195--- I have a collari .30. How does it compare to the other big blocks you've had, power and durability?

I think the Collari has the most low end 'grunt' than any other engine I have owned. It gets the wheels ROLLING! The mid power band is also VERY powerful, but the engine does lack on high rpms. Where as the Picco .27/.26 and Wasp .26 are not as powerful on the low end or mid but they are SCREAMERS at high rpms. But I like the XTM 24.7 pro because it has a lot of low end grunt and is pretty powerful on the mid-high end power ranges and it is also VERY easy to tune... where as the other engines (especially the Picco and Wasp) are absolute pains in the ARSE to tune.

Thanks for the info. I'm also trying to save up for a Revo. Especially since my brother and several friends all have either a savage, t-maxx or revo already. So I do feel a little out of the loop. I either have to save for awhile or try to do a trade. Decisions,Decisions...

my picco 26 uses the ez-start system, it depends which bb you chose, some use it, some use pull, some unfortunately are limited to starter box's. i don't car about the extra weight, when ez-start is workling, its a wicked convenience

sooo ahhhh, the best big block mount on the market hands down is the qoncepts kit. i broke the traxxas kit waaayy too fast! and the new era kit, well, look at it. do ya see how much leverage it gives the motor against the chassis? its gonna bend chassis like crazy if you bash with it.
i just tryin to help ya man, once your chassis tweaks just a little it will start eating spur gears everytime ya start it... and it wont be obvious its bent either.
been there done that.
