Just got a Revo... AKA new project truck **FINISHED W/ PICS**
After months of thought, I finally gave into the Revo. But I didnt want the whimpy stock engine or the stock radio or even the tires and rims, so I decided to build the truck from the ground up, starting with a brand new rolling chassis that I got off of eBay. Here is a list of stuff I have coming for it:
-Rolling Chassis
-Trinity High Flow Exhaust
-Big Block Conversion (includes forward only conversion)
-XTM 24.7 Pro
-Nova Racing Aluminum Clutch Shoes
-40 Series Velocity 6's
-40 Series Mashers
-Motor Saver Air Filter
-18t Clutch Bell
And I have my MX-3 with an Ofna Micro Failsafe, 1400mah RX Pack, HS-645, and HS-625 servos to throw into the truck too.
Any thoughts?

RE: Just got a Revo... AKA new project truck
I have had 2 Savages in the past and I really think I am going to be much more pleased with the Revo. I couldnt make up my mind on a small/medium block so I just decided to throw in a 24.7 pro, I actually saved some money by doing so and I will have more power with this engine and its much easier to tune. I will blow away Savage 4.6s with this Revo!!

Absolutely. The Revo wins hands down in the handling stakes... But I still sold my Revo and got a 4.6. The Revo just seemd to be breaking all the time.

Thanks Thermal... I went with the best engine for the money that keeps an AMAZING tune. I would have gone with a SH or Picco .27 or even a Collari but I dont want to eat the drivetrain and it's a pain in the ARSE to tune those engines (especially the Picco). I can't wait to break in this XTM and really open it up!

I wonder if you out bid on me on a rolling chassis recently! It was the one with the black & green crowd please 2.0 body with it. Was a nice truck for the money. But it went a little higher than I wanted to go.

What bigblock conversion kit are you gonna use?????
It seems hard to find a good one for the Revo, they are either way to weak or they set the engine up really high which just ends up screwing your cooling head up when the BB flips it over on it's lid....I've heard ALOT of bad things on the Traxxas BB kit and the NewEra BB kit.

I got the Traxxas BB conversion kit. I am not really worried about flipping over on my lid, because the only time that happens is when I go off jumps... which will smash up the cooling head no matter what way you put it.
What is the difference between the P1, P2, P3, 90T, and 120T rockers? What advantage will it give me to get a different sized rocker?

BAAAAAAAAAAD NEWS!! u have to have a starter box for a BB engine. Theres no room for a pullstart or ez start, or anything which involve a shaft poking out, or else it'll hit the uper rear a-arms. The revo needs a special starter box too! Only one that works is the RD starter box which would cost ya an extra 120 bux! Sux dont it? Same thign happen to me! luckly, i found out before i bough the BB engine!

RE: Just got a Revo... AKA new project truck
Well I just finished building my Revo... with the New Era engine mounts (which actually work). Take a look. I have a set of RPM A-Arms coming in the mail tommorow so I will install those asap.
Go to post #30 for pictures... sorry
