Default your going fast when...

so ive benn having tirs probs lately... i cant seem to keep em on the rims. my first prob was with hurricane/sporttraxx set up, they actually blew apart in the first 5 tanks.. they totally sucked..
then i switched to wabash/bow ties and they were sooo much better, but i end up ripping them off the rims doing back flips... i dint even think bow ties would balloon much, but they do more than i expected. that causes the glue to fail.
so i just bought a new set of bow ties and yesterday was the first real run on em, they are already breaking loose... i cant imagine what a heavier tire would be like, seems like they would tear off even faster? i wish some one would make a bead lock that is the right offset for the revo, none are..
by the way, im running a ported os 30, 18/38 gearing with the wide ratio.
heres may sport traxx....

old bow ties...

new bow ties.. im bookin in this pic, but look.... the damn tire is tearing off!![] i dont think these tires are supposed to spin this fast!!

heres a pic from the same day with the new tires, just to show what the tires are supposed to look like.

did you ever think about tapeing the tires it should keep them from balloning and being pulled of the rims just a thought or maybe a harder compound tire so its not so soft

well bowties are a tire that shouldnt need tape, its one of the lightest and lowest profile tires you can get...
how come i never hear people complaining about this? its the biggest problem i have with my truck. i know im running a big motor, but i know there are a bunch of other guys doing the same thing... why dont they have this prob... i wonder if its my glue... i bought new stuff from the lhs that was for tires, it seemed to work great.....

just because its a low profile and light doesnt mean its not going to ballon it just means its going to harder to make them ballon i would still try taping them i mean what to you have to lose right

hm....i would just tape them, it wont hurt anything and your the only one who has this happen alot, lol, you put to much power on your tires, but we thank you for it, for all the pics and videos. you could also send an email to the companies that make bead locks, and see if they will make them for you, maby even give you a free set for the idea....

revopqrs, stop doing backflips, your tires won't spin 50mph and fly off

You take the time you swab down the rims and tire beads with alcohol and curing properly after glueing(no movement for 24 hours) Im assuming so the only option is stronger glue.I use ZAP brand thin to get the bead in place(drop every few inches) and then I use the thick stuff to do the rest of the bead. The glue takes forever to set but once it does its stuck pretty good.

What type of CA glue are you using? If you are using thin or medium, switch to thick. Thick glue will take a little longer to dry but it holds a LOT better. I always use medium, I never use thin.

Try thick glue. You shouldnt have the problem of the tires ripping off anymore

they make snow chains for MT tires now, maby that would help keep sone pressure on the tires and not let them baloon. they are lightweight too. i forgot where i seen them thoughI think it was www.gpmracing.com

I guess the reason I'm not complaining is:
#1 I "taped" my bow ties
#2 I don't NAIL the throttle in mid air to do flips

ORIGINAL: revopqrs

well bowties are a tire that shouldnt need tape, its one of the lightest and lowest profile tires you can get...
