Default Sic Pipe F150man94

Got this jewel on yeaterday....and just couldn't wait for the paint on the new bod....So I took it out in the yard....OH YEAH! LOUD, PROUD, and THIRSTY!
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?&I=LXFUE1

Talk about waking a PICCO 26Max up.....that little sucker needed almost another 1/4 turn of HSN fuel....MO fuel, Mo POWER, as long as it ain't rich....235F without the body....oh this is gonna be hard on parts....I LOVE it. Motor Saver and the associated 18.69 pipe.....low buck, BIG H.P.

Thanks for the tip....I'm about to write it up in the "book."

Only caveat....if ya don't like to hear a 2 stroke scream....then you won't like this pipe....I love it!

It's all here.... http://nitroobsession.proboards79.co...ead=1141951711

I read your Nitro Obcession thread... Nice upgrade, I might have to try it. Oh and if you are still looking for air seal, you have to get it off of eBay or your LHS. Horizon Hobby discontinued it I think (either way they dont have it stocked). Its great! I sealed my engine with it. I bought 2 bottles of it off of eBay for 5 bucks each.

Cool, thanks for the head's up on the air seal. I've been using the copper RTV for years, but I'm always looking for that something better, faster...once a hot rodder, always....

That pipe just turned he PICCO on....it was as dramatic a difference with the associated pipe, as it was to replace the 2.5R with the PICCO originally.....just amazing.

Kliff is that the standard MGT exhaust cause if it is the only model shop close to me sells those things, the model shop i go to is thirty miles awaybecause the service is a lot better and they actually know what they are on about.

Man.....I don't know. I took F150man94 at his word, and just orderred the pipe....it is Associated part # 25090 if that helps. Like any 2 stoke, the pipe is the key to performance, and the problem we were having was chamber volume....too small, all the pipes we'd been using were developped for smaller engines. So with the smaller chamber volume we could never fully scavenge the exhaust from the engine. NOW we can remove the increased volume the larger engine produces, and let it do it's thang! don'tcha know?!

All the crediton this goes to F150man94 tho.....he found the pipe, had the cajones to try it, and passed the info to me. I merely confirmed what he experienced.

What it's actual "fitment" is...I just don't know.

I think the pipe was designed for this truck origionally.

Ford/Trucks, you CAN'T go wrong with the .26 picco and this pipe. The details are here...... http://nitroobsession.proboards79.co...ead=1141951711
All you gotta do now is read and buy the stuff!

Would this pipe be good to use with the 2.5R or is it too big? If it would work well with the 2.5R then it would be a great buy since it would also be able to work with an engine upgrade in the future.

With the much larger chamber volume, I would say it would not be the best choice for a smaller engine, tho I have not tested it. I would expect lean conditions to preveail throughout the rpm range, as the pressure wave supplied to the tank would be weaker than that of a smaller bodied pipe. THS or Trinity both have shown great results on .15>.21 engines...

Thats what I thought too. Everyone loves the trinity pipe but I am satisfied with my revo for now and I need to buy a set of rims and paint so I can get my talon/gemini package back in running condition. Good thing I bought these new t-maxx tires/wheels for $23 shipped otherwise i'd be stuck waiting for parts. Oh wait I am stuck waiting for parts, my flex header silicone is on its way.

Since I read this thread, I`ve been keeping an eye out for one of these exhausts. This week I found one on ebay and won it for £7.49 shipped, thats for a brand new one.
It arrived this morning, but there is no nipple type connection for the fuel/pressure line, just a hole. Is this normal, do I just push the fuel line in the hole? If so seems a bit hap hazzard.

Any help as always gratefully received!!

Yes the fuel line just pushes into the hole there. When I first got mine I thought what the heck, but I actually have no problems what so ever with it. You will like this pipe...it is loud. I thought about soldering a nipple onto it but it works just fine.
I drilled the mount hole out to 1/8 inch and used 1/8 rod to fabricate a hangar and mounted the wire on the right vertical post...there's a hole there for a wing mount. I may drill the hole out and nut the screw from the back side if I have strength issues but it is holding well.

Anyone have any pics of this pipe on their trucks? Is that pipe longer than the factory? Is anyone running it with a header other than factory?

Yea it is much longer than stock pipe but it does fit. Like I said in my earlier post I used 1/8 rod and a propane torch to bend it with using needle nose pliers.
It is a tight fit under the body..I had to raise my rear body mount posts to almost the highest hole to clear my body
