Default Revo 2.5R needs new carb - OS?

I need a new carb. I'm on my second stock one - stripped out the plastic around the idle screw on both of them becaue I just could NOT get it to idle high enough to where it wouldn't die when the brakes were applied.

So.. I'm looking for probably an OS carb. Which ones fit the 2.5R without a problem? I've heard the carb from the 18 TM works great, but its a bit too pricey. Are there any others? Or anybody have one they can sell to me? Thanks! [8D]

The OS TM carb does work perfectly. I just put one on a 2.5r w/ the header mod.

Have you leaned out your HSN and LSN to proper running conditions after break in. Sounds like you are way rich on your LSN and that is requiring a super high idle to compensate.

Nope its leaned out a lot. Temps run pretty hot 240-250 or so.

your idle screw needs to be turned clockwise to stop the carb from closing when the brakes are applied

Yeah that had been tried thousands of times on three different carbs.

I finally just got a new motor (without rotostart, using a starter box-type setup) and it made a world of difference.
