Bent chassis AGAIN !!!
All right, this thread is not about wether or not the Revo is a good truck so please watch your posts. For the record I own a Revo, Savage X SS, Mayhem ST, RC10GT2 and a TMaxx.
Here is my dilemma, I have had the RFevo for about 18 months now, mods include the following: OS18TM, TeknoRC receiver conversion with a Hellfire fuel tank, FOC, and single servo steering. I managed to bend the 2.5 chassis twice so I was seriously considering just selling the Revo and keeping the other trucks since the Revo has been the only truck to bent th dang chassis so much. I was convince by some of you to convert to a 3.3 chassis with a engine mount brace, which I did. Today, did a 360, landed on all four wheels as usual however for some reason I BENT THE DANG CHASSIS again !!!
Any ideas ? Is there any chassis or braces out there for the Revo that yu know of that does not bend as easy as the Traxxas stuff !! Honestly this truck has been SO expensive to maintain I question if it's even worth keeping anymore !!!

Vantage CF Chassis, better then aluminum and stronger too, it can flex, will not bend. http://www.*********.net/index.php?m...11bc0d7f065ee8

RE: Bent chassis AGAIN !!!
How odd.
I've got a Savage SS 25 converted to a Mach.26, a stock LST, a T-Maxx Pro.15 converted to the 2.5.
I've bent the Savage TVP's 4 times and the LST chassis 2 times. The T-Maxx has not given me any problems x-cept for the OWB in the tranny.
I just got a Revo 2.5 and am breaking-in a TM on it right now, I hope I have better luck with it.

Bent mine a few times too. I can always tell when the spur gear chews up .
Never tried the Vantage chassis, maybe I'll give it a shot next spring.

RE: Bent chassis AGAIN !!!
DO NOT get the Vantage Chassis if you bent the aluminum 3.3 chassis. The Vantage chassis snaps much easier than the aluminum one bends. It's also a lot more expensive to replace when you snap it because you WILL.

hah, exact situation as me except I had it with a T-maxx... I was doing 360s on pavement last year and hit a curb less than 10mph and the front chassis brakes off completely... lol I love watching my trucks front dangle helplessly

RE: Bent chassis AGAIN !!!
When I bought my REVO on ebay used it came with a bent chassis. I made the guy buy me a new 3.3 chassis. I have run the crap out of it for about two years now with no problems. Week before last I had the same thing happen. The local track has a huge double in the back straight that is hard to judge. When they constructed it they used cement blocks and rebard. I hit the jump at a bad angle and the REVO landed on the edge where the blocks are. The REVO struck the blocks dead center on the chassis where the motor is mounted. It bent! Easy fix! Use a large vise to fix it. Easy!

RE: Bent chassis AGAIN !!!
The only problem with bending aluminum back and forth is that it gets more and more weak everytime. Any metal does. Don't be too surprised if it snaps

RE: Bent chassis AGAIN !!!
I never have had a problem bending mine and i do huge jumps (15-20+ feet high) and i have NEVER bent the chassis from jumping, i have bent a revo chassis once in the front by hitting a pole at top speed, WOT, 2nd gear....
I think the Revo chassis is extreemly durable
