You just hold the slipper and tighten or loosen the nut Make it isnt to loose or the friction pegs will melt and heat the spur gear up and reck it or to tight or it wont do anything and reck your drive train.

Ok, so I dont want it too loose or too tight. How do I know without wrecking it if its too loose or too tight?

I don't know how 89ram likes his Axial, but my Axial .28 is a wonderful motor. I had to put my RB carb on it though on my revo so the HSN wouldn't strike my spur gear.

when u are tightening your spur gear use an 8 mil wrench for the nut with the spring. The hole at the end of the rod.....use a small allen wrench and hole it in place to keep it from spinning. You should be able to hold the allen wrench and still slightly be able to move the spur gear with your thumb. If u can't it is too tight and will cause you to strip your spur gear eventually or do internal damage.

A good way to check if it is too loose is after doing a few high speed runs.....feel the end of the rod. If you are getting any heat to it ...it is too loose as you are building up friction with the high rpm's and you aren't putting the power to all four...hence displacing it elswhere. Tighten it up an 1/8 or so.
Hope this helped!
