Will a Stampede wheelie?
I'm thinking of buying my son an E-Stampede for X-Mas. I want to know what will it take to make it wheelie. We have a Savage that wheelies on comand, so I know he won't be happy if the Stampede doesn't. I want the E- version because he can handle it on his own, and I won't have to run out there and restart all the time.
Thanks, Mike

Get a good enough engine for it or a good battery for it and it should take those wheels up in the air in the blink of an eye. a mamba brushless set up is awsome. Ive seen them in trucks and it turns a weak truck in to a manly monster truck.
Get a better engine and it should do a wheelie and i dont think a stock one does wheelies

Ditto on the good batteries. If it still wont wheelie get a team orion sv2 15 or 17 turn motor. The brushes last a long time because there angled and it will get the stampede up to 35mph ish with easy rolling wheelies.

My lhs got a store stampede. We ran a crappy battery on it and it wheelied like no tomorrow. When we put a good battery in it. It was just insane. It will wheelie on pavement, and grass. Can't speak for the dirt though.

You don't need all that firepower to get the Pede to wheelie. My son has a Monster stock motor in his. With a 13 tooth pinion, it wheelies very easily. He uses some average Venom 3600 batteries.

RE: Will a Stampede wheelie?
I just got my 4 yr old son a XL 5, we run Venom 3000 battery.
It does not wheelie on command for us.
It the conditions are right it will wheelie, good traction, fresh batt., going up hill..etc...
I can get it to wheelie every time if, I go in reverse & then hammer it forward.
Completely stock, works excellent for him so far..Glad I bought it for him..

RE: Will a Stampede wheelie?
hello,
i'm curious about this, too. my daughter has a stampede with the 20-turn stinger. it won't wheelie unless she goes from reverse to forward. the only problem with that is she kills the batteries like crazy. brushless is out of the question. lipo batts are, too. she can barely control it the speed it is. i have some dirt hawg tires on it, and they get great traction. i am thinking i am going to have to change the gearing. i have a lunchbox and that thing is made to wheelie. i would let her drive it more, but she'd break it. the greatest thing about the pede is that it doesn't break even though she totally abuses it.
canadian...have you gotten the wide bumper yet? it really protects the front end!
at any rate...i'm thinking gearing is going to be my best bet...
