Revo Exausts?? Post your vote
OK all here it is I want to upgrade my Stock Revo 2.5r exaust to a nice tuned pipe. and possibly gain a little performance out of it at the same time. I've got it narrowed to 3 choices, I want one that sounds bad ass and makes my truck really stand out. THANKS FOR VOTING!!!!!!

WEll tsais has numerois wrold championships under its belt and they know how to make an exhaust. RD, they don't. 80% of people who buy that pipe hate it after words. The way it is designed wiht the pipes down so low is very bad in any reck and is easily bend or broken off. Get the tsais, i had it and it makes the engine sound very cool and it adds a deaper more realistic sound.

i really don't think you will be happy with it. it may just need a gasket (mine didn't come with one) but it leaked around the port out of the engine.

Take that as an example.
Now look over at trinity, a ok compie, but lacks comitment. That pipe was designed for the sirio 18 engine. trinity used to carey sirio and every one who bought a sirio from the us at that time was geting it form trinity. Now trinity dumped sirio leaveing hundreads of people wiht out replacement seals, bearings, pistons, sleaves, and they maid it nearly imposible to get a sirio causeing the discontinuation of the sirio 18. Now after trinity screwed me over because htey droped sirio, i can never premote they'r products again. I had to wait 6 months befor i could get the right bearing for my sirio 23 and it cost me over $50 in spare bearings that i can't return not to mention a lot of time to sit and look at my revo and not get to do much. If you want to premote a compinie that lets most of its custimers down then go right ahead. People mock integy, but integy still has a higher custimer satisfaction rating the rd logics and golden horizone, take that info as you want but thats my point of view.
Get a Tsais pipe and don't look back. Get the one powder coated balck and not the croma one. The black one should disipeat heat laot better and won't get as hot as the croam one, and yes hte balck one still comes wiht croam tips

Black attracts heat and I have no idea how it would get hotter.

no, blackreflects all sunlight makeing it warmer then things with diferent colors that reflect only one wave lenght of color. The croaming proses makes a larger barior and should hold in heat alot better. When you get the black pipe, feal free to touch the black part and get your hand burned, but touch the exhuast tip and your in for one huge serprise

And just to add, Black sheds heat faster then any other color.
GM spent a few million to discover this in the early 80's.
Oh, and i run the Traxxis resonator on my 3.3, sounds all right.
Peace

You never know....one of 'em might come up with a good combo.....
But as for me,
I'll stick with the , MGT....
Like you say team trx....$20.00 is CHEAP, for the HP it unleashes in a PICCO!

save some money and get a mgt pipe. it is loud as anything and gives insane power at only $20

Thank you for all your valuable input. I ended up going with the Trinity Racing pipe after a 20 minute discussion with my lhs dealer. he pointed out the traxxas resonator pipe the trinity and a couple others. But I am very satisfied with the Trinity. installation took about 15 minutes including removing the stock pipe. And performance increase was noticed as soon as the engine was warm. It's got a beautiful sound, yet strong and very distinctive. I couldn't be happier with this upgrade. plus it came with the manifold for the big block conversion. so when I decide to upgrade to the .28 i don't have to buy another exhaust. performance increase I'd say has to be in the 10-15% range for response and power. I think i'm gonna get a new Specktrum radio next. what do ya think?

Good exhaust, but regardless of what your lhs, or even Trinity says, it's "internal pipe volume"(as in size), is designed for a .21 engine or SMALLER. It is not designed to handle the size of the pulse wave of a .26 or larger engine. Sure, it will be better than stock..... but it won't have a chance against an MGT piped Picco .26.
BTW....."big blocks" were originally, as in when the Trinity Pipe was designed.... all .21's
But, it's still a good pipe, enjoy it.

it does have the removeable tip to allow more hi-flow for bigger engines. i'm gonna be curious this weekend and take it off to see if more airflow makes better performance. I'm also getting a K n N airfilter kit for the truck. which should also help...

The removable tip only releives backpressure of an exhaust wave, that the pipe body is not large enough to handle for maximum out put of the engine. It's a very complicated facet of 2 stroke tuning, that I'm not going to get into here.
A "K&N," shelf queen filter.....GOOD LUCK.........I'll say no more.....

i did read a whole section of a website about how a "TUNED" pipe isn't always "tuned" to everyones truck and the process of actually "tuning" your own pipe. was a very interesting artical. and i learned a lot from it. as far as the k&n air filter thing they actually sell them on ebay with k&n's approval. and seal. you should check it out.

Dude K&N filters don't go well on RC's, they will allow small bits of dirt to pass through u can see that by looking at it, meh, whatever why don't you get a supercharger and a nos kit instead? that will go well with the pipe...... As for the colour of the pipe, I guarantee you touch any pipe after the truck is up to operating temps and you will get a 3rd degree burn if you hold your hand or whatever there long enough, regardless of colour.
