Where did you get the kit i want to make my maxx into a truggy

i have 5 revos 2 mt2 ofna mxb comb art attack e-rustler and several more over the years i would say in the last 4 years i have spent close to $15,000. my fleet as of now i would say is worth about $4000-5000. i have been spending about a average of about $1500- 900 a month lately. but being over seas i pay more for the shipping. i also pay more for parts too because if i buy them localy. i pay in euro. for fule too because i cant get it shipped. i pay around $100 for 1 gallon of fuel. paint for bodys is about $15 for a spray bomb. i can not wait to get to the states. cheap fuel mt classes no stupid rally game class. but all in all i ejoy this hobby very much and it is money well spent.

Maxxchevy, the truck i built, the parts are hard to come by to complete the chassis. Not sure if you can get all the pieces still. Ebay would be the best bet, or maybe some other online store that has dominator\monster pirate parts.

i haven't replaced anything on my Tmaxx 2.5 ( my only real rc). A pin in the tranny broke so my dad fixed it with duct tape and now it works fine.

heheheh my wife does not know about this site so I am ok I think If she knew I have dropped almost 3k in the past 3 months on my T-Maxx 2.5, Rustler VXL and E-Maxx 3905 I would be a dead man...

I consider myself an R/C impulse buyer. When I see a part for one of my r/c trucks or cars I buy it. When I see a good deal on a r/c car or truck I buy it. There is no end to it. I have boxes full of parts and plenty of r/c projects I am working on. It is Just so hard to find time for it. But I can always find the time to purchase more cars and hopup parts. I am thinking about buying a trainer airplane to add to my collection. I know I have spent thousands of dollars on this hobby. The more I try to save the more I spend. I think I spend too much time on Ebay looking for good deals. Maybe one day I will stop but the r/c companies keep coming out with cool new stuff.

I don't know how much I have spent on my RC hobby since I started. Started with one plane, then added a second, then a Blade CP, and then another plane. Then I started on the cars and trucks with a Mini T. Sold it to a buddy after I bought a 2.5 Revo. Then I bought a Mini LST, followed by an Evader ST, which was followed by a yardsale find of 2 cars(one oval, one street), which was finally followed by a new Mini T Pro which has a brushless setup in it. Top it all off with a M1 Abrahams Tank which got setup with airsoft. Money spent on hop ups, 1 JR XR3i radio for my cars, a 7 channel synthesized FM radio for the aircraft. The Revo has been through 2 sets of tires, numerous gallons of fuel and many glowplugs, the stock motor went(replaced it with an OS 18TM), several diff rebuild kits, a replaced pipe, full aftermarket radio, single servo conversion, center diff kit, and a few motor mounts(bash too hard and something has to break). On the Blade CP, most of the available hop ups, including some aftermarket ones. On the Mini T, Brushless setup(about 150), EFlite servo, radio, and new tires for the back. Mini LST, new tires, aftermarket radio, CV axles all around, and ball diffs(front, center, and rear). Yard sale finds, nothing because there is nowhere around her to race street cars(they are both for smooth carpet track racing). Evader ST got aluminum hubs all around, aftermarket radio, metal geared servo, new tires, spare batteries, some spare motor, and a Tazer 15T Esc.
Grand total, I really don't want to know, but if I had to guess, easily over 5000 dollars. Justification when my parents asked why I spend so much on my RC cars, all I said was "Would you rather have me get drunk on the weekends or run some harmless RC cars around. They both end up costing the same in the end."

wow after reading all 84 posts i don't feel as bad for spending money and obsessing about this hobby! i too have spend a little over a grand in it thats for 3 nitro trucks/cars, rimes, wheels and gas.

I don't have a digital camera, but I have spent $4000.00 at least on my Supermax (7075 T6 aluminum & titanium) monster truck! This Supermax is very stong, at my brothers house he has a homemade jump with a concerte wall that I slammed into at 25mph in mid air and no damage, Except for my titanium skid plate bent 1/4 inch inward, since then I have homemade some collapsible hing pins. Traxxas makes collapsible hing pins by making the steel ultra hard and brittle, also in the picture below (I forget who makes them) are some carbonfiber hing pins. I just purchased a few hundred dollars on more parts for my Supermax, some new 40 series Proline rims, Proline Crime Fighters, Dace 23mm hub adaptors and a Futaba FM 2.4GHz radio with a Hightec titanium gear digital servo.
